01

What happened in July.

An overview of patient growth, enquiry flow, phone demand, and the paid channels that drove the strongest measurable movement through the month.

New Patients
111

Up from 99 in June and 72 in July 2025, giving the clinic its strongest month since January.

Tracked Leads
47

34 leads finished won, with total tracked volume up 27.0% month over month.

Call Demand
232

161 calls were answered, while overall phone volume rose strongly from 192 in June.

Website Traffic
1,391

Traffic improved 7.2% versus June, with paid channels still leading the visit mix.

02

What July showed us.

The month reinforced that demand is growing across multiple touchpoints, but the biggest performance gains now depend on cleaner attribution and stronger handling after the enquiry lands.

Demand lift

Patient and lead volume improved together.

July did not rely on one isolated metric. New patients, leads, calls, and website visitors all moved up together versus June, which points to broader demand strength rather than a single-channel spike.

Paid efficiency

Google Ads produced a stronger commercial month.

Search volume was slightly lighter than June, but conversion efficiency improved materially, with 73 conversions at $24.99 per conversion. That suggests the traffic arriving in July was more qualified or converted more cleanly.

Phone opportunity

Call growth came with recoverable demand.

Calls rose by 40 month over month, but 71 calls still finished missed or in voicemail. There is clear upside in tighter call capture before pushing harder on volume.

Attribution gap

Lead source clarity is still the biggest attribution gap.

42 of 47 leads were still recorded as unknown source. The clinic can see stronger demand and stronger outcomes, but channel-level lead attribution remains the main gap to close.

03

New patient history and current pace.

July lifted back above the recent high-90s run rate and now sits well ahead of the same month last year.

Month-on-month

July broke above the recent plateau.

After two straight months at 99, July rose to 111 new patients. That is the strongest result since January and suggests the clinic converted more of the demand being generated through the middle of the year.

Year-on-year

July was materially stronger than last year.

July 2026 finished at 111 versus 72 in July 2025, which is a 54.2% year-on-year improvement and a strong sign that acquisition is outperforming the comparable prior-year month.

Commercial view

The task now is to hold triple-digit consistency.

With 753 new patients recorded across January to July, the clinic has built a strong base. The next step is turning July's stronger lead and call volume into a repeatable monthly level above the low-100 range.

04

Tracked enquiries and outcomes.

July produced more tracked leads than June and a much stronger won count, although most records still carried unknown source attribution.

Conversion quality

July leads converted more cleanly than June.

The biggest improvement was not just volume. July added 10 more leads than June and shifted the lead mix strongly toward positive outcomes, with 34 won against only 7 lost.

Demand pattern

Urgent and general dentistry remained the strongest enquiry themes.

The identifiable lead notes were concentrated around emergency care and routine checkups / cleans, which is consistent with high-intent, near-term patient demand rather than low-urgency browsing behaviour.

Key risk

Attribution is still weaker than outcome tracking.

Even with stronger lead performance, 42 of 47 leads still lack clear source attribution. The clinic can clearly see the uplift in outcomes, but it still cannot confidently tie that uplift back to individual acquisition channels inside the CRM.

05

Phone demand rose strongly in July.

The clinic handled higher phone volume in July, with local search driving the largest share of calls and paid search contributing a smaller but high-intent call stream.

Among the 24 paid-search calls, core dentist-intent terms dominated the keyword mix.

Local demand

Google Business Profile remained the dominant phone driver.

184 of 232 calls came through the GMB number, so local search visibility continues to be the clinic's biggest single phone-demand source.

Paid intent

Paid search continued to create direct-call behaviour.

The Google Ads numbers generated 43 calls, and the keyword mix stayed tightly concentrated around core dentist-intent search terms. That is a strong sign that paid traffic is still reaching people ready to call rather than just browse.

Operational focus

Missed-call recovery is still a clear growth lever.

July's stronger demand also came with 71 unanswered outcomes across missed calls and voicemail. Even without adding more spend, better phone capture could convert more of the demand already being generated.

06

Meta stayed efficient as a traffic channel.

July Meta delivery was still centred on low-cost traffic generation, with the main traffic campaign responsible for almost all click volume and the clearest share of website-driving activity.

Spend
$353.26

Lower than June while still maintaining meaningful click volume.

Clicks
961

The account continued to drive visits at a low average click cost.

Impressions
65,451

Delivery scale stayed healthy even with a smaller budget than June.

Average CPC
$0.37

Well below June's average click cost.

Campaign breakdown
1. Traffic campaign
929 clicks

Austral | Traffic - Landing Page View | Awareness | Video + Carousel delivered $305.53 spend, $0.33 CPC, and 40,741 impressions. This remained the clear July volume leader across Meta activity.

2. Awareness support
32 clicks

Awareness | Omnipresence delivered $47.73 spend, $1.49 CPC, and 24,710 impressions. This campaign added reach, but contributed only a small share of total click volume.

Efficiency

Meta became cheaper while staying useful.

Spend, impressions, and clicks all came down versus June, but the cost to win a click improved sharply to $0.37. July therefore looked more efficient as a traffic-buying month, even at a smaller scale.

Creative concentration

The account relied heavily on one traffic campaign.

The main traffic campaign generated 929 of 961 clicks, so performance is still heavily concentrated. That is working for efficiency, but it leaves less creative diversification if engagement softens.

Commercial view

Meta's role is still traffic generation, not tracked conversion.

July Meta activity showed 0 tracked conversions, so the value of the channel is still best understood through traffic generation and assisted demand rather than direct in-platform conversion measurement.

08

Website traffic improved slightly in July.

Total site visitors lifted above June, with paid channels still leading the mix and organic traffic continuing to provide the strongest non-paid support.

Total website visitors
1,391

Total visitors were up 7.2% versus June's 1,298.

Top traffic driver: Paid traffic - 681.

Traffic mix

The website result in July was a modest recovery month. Traffic moved back up after the softer June reading, and the underlying mix stayed commercially useful because the largest share still came from paid channels and paid search.

Paid visits remained the dominant website driver across July, with both paid traffic and paid search contributing meaningful volume. That means over half of total site demand is still being actively generated rather than relying only on brand or organic discovery.

09

The new patient offer remained the clearest paid-call destination.

The same Google Ads landing-page structure remained in use through July, with attributed paid-call demand concentrated on the new patient pathway.

Secondary page

Orthodontics Offer

The orthodontics page remained part of the paid-search pathway, although July call attribution did not show the same direct phone demand concentration as the new patient offer.

https://australsmiles.com.au/orthodontics-offer/

Commercial view

The clearest July evidence still favours the new patient offer as the strongest conversion page for paid-search phone intent. That makes it the most important page to protect, refine, and keep tightly aligned to high-intent search terms.

Next focus

The opportunity now is less about changing page structure and more about making sure call handling, enquiry follow-up, and paid-keyword alignment continue to support the traffic already arriving through the main page.

10

What went well this month.

July's strongest positives came from patient growth, a cleaner lead outcome mix, and stronger Google Ads conversion efficiency.

Win 01

New patient numbers lifted back into stronger territory.

July reached 111 new patients, up from 99 in June and comfortably above 72 in July last year.

Win 02

Lead outcomes improved, not just lead volume.

Tracked leads rose to 47, but the stronger signal was outcome quality: 34 won against only 7 lost.

Win 03

Google Ads delivered a stronger direct-response month.

July search generated 73 conversions at $24.99 per conversion, giving the clinic a more efficient paid-search outcome than June.

11

What we are doing next.

The August focus is to protect July's stronger demand while tightening the handoff from click or call into attended treatment and clear attribution.

1

Protect the high-performing paid-search pathway

July showed stronger Google Ads conversion efficiency, so the immediate focus is keeping the core search campaign aligned to high-intent keywords and the new patient landing page while scaling carefully.

2

Improve phone capture and missed-call recovery

With 71 unanswered call outcomes across missed calls and voicemail, there is still meaningful recoverable demand already in the system before pushing for more call volume.

3

Clean up CRM source tracking

July produced stronger lead outcomes, but 42 of 47 leads still carried unknown attribution. Better source capture remains the clearest reporting improvement for sharper budget and operational decisions.
